RouteMatch Annual User Conference

Thank you for attending 2015 RouteMatch User Conference!

RouteMatch Software’s Annual User Conference Brings Over 330 Attendees to Midtown Atlanta to Discuss Transformative Transit Solutions, Network with Peers and Participate in 75 Breakout Sessions

RouteMatch Software brought together over 300 transit professionals to Atlanta the last week of October at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta. Clients from across the United States, Canada and Australia attended over  75 different sessions covering topics for demand response and fixed route users, cloud computing, automated fare collection, coordination, funding strategies, customer care and transit asset management- to name just a few.

The User Conference provides agencies a unique opportunity to directly interact with RouteMatch professionals and subject matter experts, learn from peers, and sit down for one-on-one consultations. Some attendees obtained a bachelor’s and master’s level certifications in RouteMatch scheduling and reporting functionalities. Always highly sought after classes, over 30 attendees graduated with certifications this year in reporting and scheduling.

This year’s conference theme focused on “Transformation through Transit” and how agencies can use technology to build a legacy beyond transit services for their riders and communities.

Session highlights from this year’s event included a new addition called, “Get on the Bus with In-Vehicle Technology,” featuring a bus from RouteMatch client City of Rome, GA, that attendees could board and examine the in-vehicle technology.

This year, three transit agencies, Macatawa Area Transit (MI), Nankin Transit (MI) and Wake Coordinated Transportation Services (NC) were the recipients of the RouteMatch “Excellence in Action Awards,” that take place every year at the User Conference.

Attendees were especially receptive to this year’s keynote speaker, former NASA astronaut Story Musgrave.  With a 30-year career with NASA and a veteran of six spaceflights, as well as the recipient of seven graduate degrees spanning math and science to literature and psychology, Story Musgrave’s story was incredible and inspiring for all.

In addition to attending sessions and listening to speakers, attendees also had opportunities to network at multiple social events, including Casino Night, Dinner and Dancing, and a Cocktail Reception at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA).

“The User Conference is a fantastic opportunity to bring a family of agencies together to share ideas on what works and what can be improved,” says Roy Karnacki, Vice President, Systems and Business Development at Provide A Ride. “We always leave the User Conference with information that impacts our service and provides value throughout our business. There is a spirit of family and generosity that occurs here.”
